Kitts originally hails from Puyallup, Washington, but moved to Oviedo, Florida, in third grade. She began her high school career at The Master's Academy, where she helped her team reach the Class 3A state title game. In her sophomore year, Kitts transferred to DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she averaged 18.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a junior, leading the team to its first GEICO Nationals appearance.
