Alex Zanardi is an Italian professional racing driver and Paralympian, born on October 23, 1966, in Bologna, Italy. He is widely recognized for his resilience, talent, and dedication to the sports. Zanardi began his professional career in karting before moving to Formula 3 in 1988, where he made a name for himself. He later competed in Formula 1 and the CART championship, where he had numerous victories.
Zanardi is also known for his life-changing accident in 2001, which resulted in the amputation of both his legs. Despite this, he returned to racing using specially modified cars, and also took up hand-cycling, in which he has won several Paralympic medals.
Off the race track, Zanardi is also recognized for his philanthropy, making significant charitable contributions and inspiring millions worldwide with his determination and positivity.
