Greg LeMond is an American former professional cyclist, born on June 26, 1961, in Lakewood, California. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest cyclists of all time. LeMond began his professional career with the Renault team before moving to La Vie Claire in 1984, where he won his first Tour de France in 1986.
LeMond is known for his incredible endurance, speed, mountain climbing ability, and versatility. He has won numerous individual awards, including three Tour de France titles, and holds multiple records, such as the first non-European to win the Tour de France.
Off the field, LeMond is also recognized for his contributions to the sport, including his advocacy for clean sportsmanship and inspiring millions worldwide.
