Hope Solo

Hope Solo is an American professional soccer player, born on July 30, 1981, in Richland, Washington. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. Solo began her professional career with Philadelphia Charge before moving to Saint Louis Athletica in 2009, where she won the Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Solo is known for her incredible agility, strength, goal-saving ability, and versatility. She has won numerous individual awards, including two Olympic Gold Medals, and holds multiple records, such as the most shutouts in U.S. history.

Off the field, Solo is also recognized for her activism and influence, making significant contributions to gender equality in sports and inspiring millions worldwide.

Philadelphia Charge

• Youth and Early Career: Solo was born and raised in Washington and moved to Philadelphia to join the Charge's youth academy. She made her first-team debut for the Charge in 2003.

Saint Louis Athletica

• Early Success: Solo signed with Saint Louis Athletica in 2009. Under the guidance of coach Jorge Barcellos, she developed into one of the world's best goalkeepers, winning the Goalkeeper of the Year award.

magicJack
