Patrick Roy is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender, born on October 5, 1965, in Quebec City, Quebec. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders in the history of the sport. Roy began his professional career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1984, where he won multiple titles, including two Stanley Cups.
Roy is known for his incredible agility, reflexes, and clutch play. He has won numerous individual awards, including three Conn Smythe Trophies as the most valuable player in the playoffs, and holds multiple records, such as the most wins in NHL playoff history.
Off the ice, Roy is also recognized for his coaching career and influence, inspiring a generation of goaltenders worldwide.
