The transformation of retired English soccer superstar David Beckham and Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham into a global business powerhouse is legendary. In fact, "Posh and Becks" boast a combined fortune of £455 million, according to The Sunday Times Rich List 2024.
David Beckham’s branded businesses, DRJB Holdings includes David Beckham Ventures Limited, which owns the majority of his brand portfolio and is also the holding company for Studio 99, which made the Beckham documentary for Netflix and produces marketing campaigns for brand partners. The robust performance follows Authentic Brands Group's majority acquisition in 2022, with Beckham retaining a reported 45 percent stake.
‘David Beckham’s branded businesses paid out about $124mn in dividends, according to accounts filed this week, with profits surging thanks to endorsements, digital content and launches of new consumer products,’ the Financial Times reported. ‘The set of accounts for DRJB Holdings highlights the ongoing popularity of the Beckham brand more than a decade after he retired from professional football.’
Beckham’s career and strategic brand diversification
David Beckham was the first English football player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. His career spanned twenty years with Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England team, which he captained for six years. Recognised for his crossing ability, free kicks, and leadership, Beckham’s career highlights include winning the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League with Manchester United, and league titles in four countries. Beckham represented England in three World Cups and two European Championships, serving as the national team's captain. His accolades include the UEFA President's Award and an OBE for his services to football.

Beckham is recognised as a astute entrepreneur, fashion icon, and philanthropist. As an official ambassador for The King’s Foundation, he will support the Foundation’s education programmes. His alliance with UNICEF helps the most vulnerable children worldwide to reach their potential. And he has joined the global initiative to eradicate malaria.
Since retiring from football in 2013, David Beckham has worked with prolific brands including Adidas, Tudor, Hugo Boss, Stella Artois and Sands. In 2018, he became founder and co-owner of Major League Soccer club Inter Miami CF. The following year, he founded the content studio, Studio 99, which operates editorial and commercial production, and specialises in developing and producing documentaries, series and formats for global platforms and networks, including Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. The studio produces commercial content for brands such as Nespresso, EA Sports, Tudor and Maserati.
Per Cosmetics Business: ‘David Beckham’s business empire saw its profits more than double last year thanks in part to the star’s hit documentary on Netflix. The English footballer’s company DRJB Holdings Limited – which encompasses David Beckham Ventures Limited, Seven Global LLP and Studio 99 Group – reported a pre-tax profit jump to US$36.2m for the year ending 31 December 2023, up from $16.2m in 2022. In connection with the partnership, David Beckham became a shareholder in ABG and joined a roster of ABG’s growing entertainment portfolio that includes some of the world’s most celebrated athletes and iconic sports brands, such as Muhammad Ali, Shaquille O’Neal, and Sports Illustrated.’
