Tal began his professional career in the mid-1950s and quickly gained recognition for his aggressive and imaginative style of play. He secured the World Chess Championship title in 1960, becoming the youngest-ever champion at the time.
Tal was known for his daring, risky, and complex strategies, often leading to highly unconventional positions. He won numerous individual awards, including four USSR Championships, and holds multiple records, such as the longest unbeaten streak at 95 games in top-level competitive chess.
