Tatyana McFadden is an American Paralympic athlete, born on April 21, 1989, in St. Petersburg, Russia. She is highly regarded as one of the most successful athletes in the history of the Paralympic Games. McFadden began her professional career participating in the Paralympics in Athens in 2004, where she won her first medals. Since then she has competed in multiple Paralympic Games and other international events, becoming a dominant force in wheelchair racing.
McFadden is known for her incredible speed, strength, and versatility, participating in events ranging from the 100m sprint to the marathon. She has won numerous individual awards, and holds multiple records, such as being the first person to win six gold medals at a single World Para Athletics Championships.
Off the track, McFadden is also recognized for her advocacy work for people with disabilities and her efforts in promoting adaptive sports.
