Lionel Conacher is a Canadian professional athlete, born on May 24, 1901, in Toronto, Ontario. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in Canadian history. Conacher began his professional career with the Toronto Argonauts before moving to the National Hockey League (NHL), where he won multiple titles, including two Stanley Cups.
Conacher is known for his incredible versatility, strength, and all-round ability. He has won numerous individual awards and holds multiple records.
Off the field, Conacher is also recognized for his political career, serving as a Member of the Provincial Parliament (MPP) in Ontario and later as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the federal government.
